I’ve always felt that I have a personality that contradicts itself. I am a free-spirited bohemian, but I prefer to live by routine. I am one of those creative artistic types, but extremely disciplined. I guess that’s what drew me to graphic design as a profession—the constant flow of creativity and collaboration that a truly successful project craves, yet the only way to achieve the final product is to work within and around a multitude of design and computer rules, guidelines and processes. Design is, for me, that perfect mixture of art and logic.
My education at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point set that mix in motion, but I continue to pursue my design goals through visual communication, aesthetics and user experiences. In my work at Blue Door Consulting, I’m constantly energized by solving design problems and challenges. I’m discovering that anything is possible!
When I’m not flexing my creative muscle, I spend most of my time with my canine side-kick, Zoe, an adorable beagle/pit bull mix. I like putzing around on projects outside, going for walks, curling up with a good book, hanging out with my niece and nephew and attempting to hit my next PR at the gym. To calm my introverted personality, I escape to my family’s cottage whenever possible to unplug and recharge.
