I am passionate about all things digital. It started in college. I thought I wanted to be an accountant, but then I took a class on usability and was hooked! I graduated from UW-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication and End-User Technology. I was fortunate to begin my career with a mid-sized agency, focusing on web design. After several years on the agency side, I transitioned to the corporate world, where I built digital marketing programs from the ground up for several companies. I’ve worn many hats throughout my career in marketing – copywriter, user experience designer, visual designer, front-end HTML programmer, project manager, digital and brand strategist and more.
I embrace the challenge of constantly learning new technologies, strategies and tactics to help deliver the right message to the right people at the right time. Digital marketing is constantly evolving. Finding unique solutions to client challenges and using data to drive marketing is very powerful and is a discipline I find extremely fulfilling. Blue Door Consulting’s vision of “seize the day. share the love” is the perfect complement to my personality.
When I’m not working, I’m riding my Harley-Davidson. In the fall of 2015, I took a short career break to fulfill a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. For 4-months, I rode my motorcycle from Milwaukee to Buenos Aires, Argentina and back, covering 21,000 miles and 13 countries. This experience has shown me that fear is unnecessary, and overcoming difficult challenges offers the greatest rewards. I am grateful for the opportunity to have seen most of Latin America from the seat of my motorcycle, my true “happy place.” I have over 100,000 miles (and counting)!
Besides riding motorcycles, in my spare time I enjoy snowmobiling, hiking, yoga, paddle boarding, kayaking, camping, swimming, usually somewhere near my home in Waukesha, Wisconsin. I also am an aspiring artist and photographer and recently self-published a book about my journey through Latin America.
