Heidi Strand
Heidi Strand graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1995 with a self-designed B.S. degree in Business Management and Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Her experience at Target Headquarters in merchandise purchasing and human resources background from Kinko's built the foundation for a career in marketing and strategic planning. Upon returning to her hometown of Oshkosh, Heidi worked for the Oshkosh Commercial Development Corporation, marketing Oshkosh's downtown. Eventually she became the Marketing Director of the Oshkosh Opera House Foundation and it was in this position that she gained considerable experience with committee facilitation, management operations, marketing campaigns and Web site development. Approximately two years ago, Heidi left the Foundation and began Blue Door Consulting.

Brenda Haines
Brenda Haines, a Wisconsin native, began her career as a television journalist at NBC and FOX affiliates. An award-winning writer, Haines took her media savvy to the public sector. There she helped facilitate public relations and community outreach efforts for the Oshkosh Public Library and Winnefox Library System. The result: growth in circulation and library use among key target audiences. In 2001, Haines began work as the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation’s Communications and Development Coordinator, coordinating publications, media relations and Web site development. She was chosen to lead the first-ever statewide marketing committee for certified community foundations. Haines is currently working toward her Masters in Public Administration at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She earned her B.A. from Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa.
Jamie Szymanski

Jamie Szymanski graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in December, 2007, with a degree in journalism. While at UW Oshkosh she kept busy, immersing herself in the extracurricular scene as president of the campus Advertising Club and co-president of the National Student Advertising Competition team.

Amidst it all, in January, 2007, she landed an internship here at Blue Door. Immediately, Jamie was immersed in every element of the marketing and advertising world. After graduation, she accepted a full-time position with Blue Door as an Associate Consultant.
