Affinity Health Systems

Blue Door Consulting has been chosen by Affinity Health Systems to lead web initiatives for this network of 19 clinics, three hospitals, a long-term care facility and a health plan. While Affinity already has a web site, it is seeking ways to improve its online presence and better match or exceed what other health care organizations are offering online. Blue Door has worked closely with several teams within Affinity, conducting usability studies to assess user needs and analyzing the organization’s ability to maintain and develop web initiatives. Blue Door has made recommendations for improved policies and processes, and Affinity and Blue Door are currently building on those recommendations.

Chamco

Blue Door Consulting was recently chosen by Chamco (The Oshkosh Industrial Development Corporation) to develop a web site. The project will include user analysis, design, content development and web site development, including a content management system. Blue Door has also created a new logo for Chamco and the 2005 annual report. In connection with Chamco, Blue Door is also working with GlobalOne, the company promoting Oshkosh’s newly established Foreign Trade Zone. Work for GlobalOne has included logo and brochure design.

Green Lake Country Visitor’s Bureau

Princeton, Green Lake, Ripon, Markesan, and Berlin are five small Wisconsin communities that have joined together to market themselves under the name Green Lake Country. While Green Lake is an attractive vacation spot, the name Green Lake Country confused potential visitors, and the visitor’s bureau suffered from a lack of cohesive vision. Blue Door Consulting was hired to help this organization reevaluate its goals and its marketing plan. We began by conducting strategic planning sessions, and we’re now using the information gathered to inform development of a new name, a new identity, and a complete marketing plan.

Kate Thome

An experienced financial planner, Kate Thome decided to launch her own business serving individuals and small businesses in the Oshkosh area. When Blue Door Consulting began working with Kate, we immediately discussed what makes her different from the competition. In truth, there are few female financial planners out there. We saw Kate’s vibrancy and enthusiasm for working with people as key points in establishing her brand. So far we’ve created an identity system and print advertising built on showcasing both Kate’s personality and her expertise.

Mary Whitlock

After a successful career as a human resources expert in the banking industry, Mary Whitlock decided to reinvent herself in a new career. Her love for interior design led her to Baker College, chosen for its intense focus on drawing, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in interior design. After several years of learning both the creative and business aspects of the industry alongside experienced interior designers, Mary moved to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where she decided to launch Mary Whitlock Interior Design. Blue Door Consulting has worked alongside Mary as a consultant offering assistance with creating a branch and bringing that new brand to the marketplace. We have created a logo and identity system for Mary, and we’re currently developing her web site.

Oshkosh Area School District

The Oshkosh Area School district is a large district with nearly 11,000 students in 29 schools. With few communications resources, the district turned to Blue Door Consulting for help with communications consulting, public and media relations, and web site development. Blue Door Consulting facilitates three committees, with the goal of recruiting and retaining students and quality staff and sharing the district's success stories. We recently created a brochure highlighting the district’s charter schools, and a new school district web site and informational brochure are currently being developed.

Ripon Medical Center

An independent, small-town hospital with state-of-the-art medical technology, total-access health care, and an outstanding staff, Ripon Medical Center serves more than 25,000 people in Ripon and the surrounding communities. Due to pressure from corporate health care facilities moving into the region, Ripon Medical Center felt the need to reevaluate its brand and develop a marketing plan that would effectively communicate its value to the community. Blue Door Consulting has conducted key interviews and focus group sessions, and we’re currently making recommendations for the future of this health care facility.

United Way

Blue Door Consulting is working on a Web site redesign that will capture United Way's work to do “what matters” in the community, highlighting United Way’s national tagline. Our challenge is to take the new national brand and exemplify it with local examples, capturing the heart and good work of United Way. As an agency, United Way faces a challenge: donor behavior is shifting. Donors seek to be extremely hands-on in their giving. Our solution will communicate to donors and potential donors how efficiently and effectively United Way uses their dollars to do good work in the community.

Wisconsin Community Foundation's Division of the Donors Forum of Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Community Foundation's Division of the Donors Forum of Wisconsin has contracted Blue Door Consulting for four hours each month to help certified community foundations in WI. Each of the 21 community foundations has the opportunity to meet with Brenda and receive marketing assistance on topics of their choice. In addition to this ongoing consulting, Blue Door also helped the Foundation create a newsletter that gives marketing advice, such as tips, trends, and industry issues, to these organizations.
