Writing That Speaks

Jaimy Szymanski | Public RelationsOne of my public relations professors in college once said,

“The only time you should ever use all caps is if the world is ending. And, in that case, you can also use an exclamation point.”

Translation?

Good writing speaks for itself. There’s no need for superfluous punctuation or emphatic type settings if you’re articulate, precise and descriptive.

End of story. (!)
