3 Ways Infographics Can Help Your Business l Blue Door ConsultingIf you read Part 1 of Effective Infographics, you’ll recall that the primary purpose of an infographic is to convey large, complex sets of data in a simple, easy-to-understand way. I outlined the importance of the content being straightforward, attention-grabbing and engaging-and with good reason. Close to 90 percent of information transmitted to the brain is visual. The key takeaway from this stat-the visual nature of infographics can help you get your information into the hands (or heads) of your audience.

Whether or not you are incorporating infographics into your company’s online marketing efforts, it may be worthwhile to examine how they fit in to the bigger picture. More specifically-what infographics can do for your business:

1. Boost Search Engine Optimization (SEO): The viral nature of infographics can do wonders to boost your SEO. Include relevant keywords in the title and description of your infographics. And promote your infographic through email, press releases and blogs to improve your inbound links-both effective and easy ways to naturally boost your search engine rankings.

2. Rev up your social media: People love to share infographics. They are easily spread across social media-especially among those with a particularly visual element like Pinterest®, Tumblr® and Visual.ly. Posting infographics to social media can increase your number of followers and subscribers.

3. Gain credibility and foster engagement: Publishing relevant and credible content that offers value to your readers is a great way to gain credibility and establish you as a thought-leader in your industry. Plus, the more value you can provide to a client or potential customer, the more likely they are to interact with and engage with your company and its brand.

Infographics, as a greater part of your content strategy can be a great way to increase Web traffic, gain credibility and establish your company as an industry expert.
