Business Operations Coordinator

Help us achieve our “Seize the day. Share the love.” vision. The Business Operations Coordinator is responsible for helping improve processes, technologies and onboarding. When you join our team, you’ll work directly with Blue Door Consulting’s owners to improve business operations and ensure we maintain our culture as we grow. (And, we are growing!)

Primary Responsibilities

Operations

  • Help us work at peak efficiency by managing data, project templates, maintenance and adoption of new modules for Workamajig (our ERP)
  • Fight disorganization and downtime by maintaining our online file storage system organization and maintenance for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal of records and ordering/managing office supply inventories
  • Build positive client/vendor relationships through identification and due diligence of potential vendors/partners, delivery of contracts and proactive management of renewals
  • Ensure our team members, clients, guests and drop-ins experience our “Seize the day. Share the love.” approach by welcoming and greeting them, promptly responding to phone/email inquiries and coordinating facility security, cleaning and maintenance
  • Contribute directly to the bottom line by managing accounts receivable (in partnership with the Accounting Manager)
  • Aid our continuous improvement by collaborating with the Leadership Team to develop policies and procedures, coordinating legal review and presentation back to the Leadership Team
  • Champion special projects as directed by Leadership Team; proactively identify and propose mitigations for project risks and issues

Team/Culture

  • Participate in the orientation process for new hires, ensuring that they are well trained about office policies, procedures and tools

Skills Sets and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience
  • Passion for process and organization
  • Experience in a results-oriented environment with proven leadership skills
  • Demonstrated success at overseeing multiple projects comprised of deliverables with set deadlines
  • Operates with a learner’s mindset and continuous curiosity to see beyond the presenting problem, identify risks and mitigation, underlying root causes for issues, and propose appropriate interventions
  • Ability to influence without direct authority, managing details of complex projects with strong attention to quality
  • Must be a self-starter, pro-active and able to take the lead on tasks with minimal direction
  • Experience developing project documentation and notes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong analytic and organizational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
