Digital Marketer

Position Overview

The Digital Marketer is the client-facing leader of a cross-functional creative, marketing and development team. This position is responsible for successfully achieving client goals, using analysis, strategy, execution and measurement of digital initiatives. The role requires an innovator, a trend-spotter, and a forward thinker who can connect digital to all other aspects of a client business.

Primary Responsibilities

Earned Media

  • Create, manage, execute and test organic search campaigns including campaign strategy structure, keywords, and copy.
  • Lead development of landing pages to drive conversions.
  • Report on campaign performance (using tools such as Google Analytics) and optimize based on results.

Owned Media

  • Lead website redesign and development projects, including web strategy, site architecture, design, usability, content, development and testing.
  • Identify opportunities and implement social media campaigns.
  • Develop and lead implementation of mobile marketing campaigns.
  • Produce videos to tell client stories.
  • Report on campaign performance (using tools such as Google Analytics) and optimize based on results.

Paid Media

  • Create, manage, execute and test SEM and social search campaigns for lead generation and sales, including campaign strategy, structure, keywords, copy and measurement.
  • Report on campaign performance (using tools such as Google Advanced ecommerce) and optimize based on results.

Skills Sets and Qualifications

We value team members who are unafraid of learning and growth, who possess the ability to discern insights and make recommendations and are effective communicators. To demonstrate these characteristics, we look for:

  • Bachelors in either Communications, Journalism, Business, Marketing or similar
  • 5+ years of digital marketing including hands-on experience with SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, email marketing, video marketing and analytics
  • Excellent project management skills with an ability to set and achieve goals, meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certified in Google Analytics and AdWords (professional certification must occur within three months of being hired if not currently certified)
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; must have credibility, good judgment, honesty and integrity
  • Effective skills in time management, budgeting and program oversight
  • Ability to generate and deliver persuasive and clear verbal and written communications
  • Initiative to solve problems with energy and a positive attitude
