Graphic Designer

Position Overview

In this role, you will create engaging, user-centric designs that get results – blending user experience insights and design best practices across print, web, mobile and video.
You will be responsible for defining, project managing and designing the creation of print and digital assets – from animations to websites, email templates, advertisements, social media, brand collateral, tradeshow and experiential designs, etc. This includes working closely with the Blue Door Consulting team and clients to understand traditional and/or interactive requirements and develop design concepts that deliver.

Primary Responsibilities

Collaborate with Blue Door Consulting team members and clients to deliver compelling design that enables them to build brand awareness, generate leads and drive sales, through the following activities:

  • Concept and execute creative design solutions
  • Develop and design innovative traditional and digital assets (websites, online ads, email, presentations, etc.) in keeping with project scope, strategic positioning, budget and timelines
  • Create responsive designs that work across various platforms, including desktop, mobile and tablet
  • Leverage consumer psychology, proven design patterns, data and insights to create beautiful and usable marketing experiences that compel users to take action
  • Effectively communicate with project managers and programmers to maintain job status and workflow requirements
  • Develop oneself to learn new technologies and design strategies that improve end products
  • Create design files to specification of the deliverable and meet graphic standards

Skills Sets and Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role
  • BA / BFA in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Web Design, Electronic Communications or a related field preferred
  • Mastery of core Adobe Creative Cloud Suite required, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and knowledge of XD, After Effects and Premiere Pro preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite (PowerPoint and Word required)
  • Ability to visualize concepts, apply design principles and solve problems
  • Experience creating intuitive user experiences
  • An excellent online portfolio that demonstrates solid design skills and expertise in design principles, functionality, interactivity and usability standards
