Kari Sain Portrait

Achiever, Relator, Learner, Futuristic, Arranger

Growing up, my dad always told me, “It doesn’t matter what you decide to do in life, just make sure you’re the best at it.” This parental advice has echoed in my head throughout my different career paths and continues to be a driving force, with almost everything I do. Sometimes to a fault!

You could say I took a leisurely route through my college years. First at UW-Milwaukee for Marketing, taking a year off, and then getting my license in Barbering and Cosmetology to help carry myself through my final years at the Art Institute of Wisconsin. After receiving my Bachelor’s in Fashion Marketing, I found my way into the corporate retail world and spent time in buying offices, merchandising departments and various project and account management roles within the promotional products industry. I fell in love with connecting with clients, developing and improving processes and finding solutions no matter how complex a project is.

Outside of the hours spent at Blue Door Consulting, my husband and I are kept busy with our two adventurous young daughters, but as a working mom, I’m trying to also be more conscious about making time to fill my cup. You can usually find me reading, thrifting, giving my house plants some love, dreaming about my next entrepreneurial endeavor, or getting dressed up with my husband for date night with friends.
