Digital Marketer

The Digital Marketer is the client-facing leader of a cross-functional creative, marketing and development team. This position is responsible for successfully achieving client goals, using analysis, strategy, execution and measurement of digital initiatives. The role requires an innovator, a trend-spotter, and a forward thinker who can connect digital to all other aspects of a client business.

Primary Responsibilities

Create, publish and share documents that clearly communicate to both internal and external groups

  • Document and present competitive analysis, goals, objectives, project plans and success measures

Develop creative and execute digital marketing campaigns through multiple channels including earned media (organic search, influencer marketing, media relations, public relations) owned media (content marketing via blogs, email, social media, video an website development) and paid media (PPC, retargeting and display advertising; affiliate marketing).

Earned Media

  • Create, manage, execute and test organic search campaigns including campaign strategy structure, keywords, and copy
  • Lead development of landing pages to drive conversions
  • Report on campaign performance (using tools such as Google Analytics) and optimize based on results

Owned Media

  • Lead website redesign and development projects, including web strategy, site architecture, design, usability, content, development and testing
  • Identify opportunities and implement social media campaigns
  • Develop and lead implementation of mobile marketing campaigns
  • Produce videos to tell client stories
  • Report on campaign performance (using tools such as Google Analytics) and optimize based on results

Paid Media

  • Create, manage, execute and test SEM and social search campaigns for lead generation and sales, including campaign strategy, structure, keywords, copy and measurement
  • Report on campaign performance (using tools such as Google Advanced ecommerce) and optimize based on results

Manage numerous clients simultaneously

Stay current with industry trends and best practices

Act as a thought leader around ‘growth hacking’ opportunities and digital models that serve our desire for scalable and cost-effective growth

  • A fast worker and good timekeeper who is used to inputting hours into time management software daily
  • Precise in work; showing high attention to detail
  • Open, honest, direct and comfortable in giving and receiving constructive feedback 

Skill Sets and Qualifcations

  • B.S. in marketing, web, communications, business or a related field
  • 5+ years of ecommerce marketing including hands on with SEO, Google Analytics or other analytics system, social media and content creation 
  • Solid Office365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) skills 
  • Strong financial and marketing analytics and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills, be able to follow up and pay attention to detail
  • A strong work ethic and drive to exceed expectations
  • Must be a creative self-starter with outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, within a team environment
  • Team-player with a positive attitude 
  • Relevant product and industry knowledge a plus
  • Ability to dissect complex scenarios and articulate your findings using simplified, recognizable verbiage
  • Creativity to develop advanced and unique strategies in the digital advertising landscape 
  • Experience with developing marketing strategy, including budget allocation, opportunity assessment and prioritization
  • Excellent project management skills with an ability to set and achieve goals, meet deadlines and multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience with Workamajig preferred
  • Certifications in Google AdWords & Microsoft Bing Ads preferred
