User experience research leads to strategic website design
When the Wisconsin RtI (Response to Intervention) Center wanted to ensure that its website would meet diverse stakeholders’ needs, they approached Blue Door Consulting for help.
The Center has one goal: Help school and district leadership teams across Wisconsin develop systems that supports success for all students.
As a result, the Center’s current site had outgrown its original architecture, Content Management System and functionality. To ensure the new site was user-friendly and navigable, Blue Door Consulting recommended user experience research.

DOING THE HOMEWORK ON USER EXPERIENCE
Blue Door Consulting hit the books. Through 15 usability interviews, we learned users were spending too much time navigating to resources and materials. That finding guided the decision to overhaul the site architecture and create a more intuitive user experience.

STRATEGIC WEB DESIGN MOVES TO FRONT OF CLASS
By restructuring the site architecture, better managing content and online resources and creating a “find an event” page, educators were able to easily find the materials and resources they needed. This reduced navigation time and increased sessions among both new and returning visitors.
The end result: A better way for leadership teams to find the resources they needed, leaving more time for their students.
THE BOOK ON USER EXPERIENCE RESEARCH
Through user experience research, the Wisconsin RtI Center is helping schools and districts transform their systems – to help every student succeed.
