The Women’s Business Development Center – Chicago Certification Committee of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council has certified Blue Door Consulting as a Women’s Business Enterprise.
The WBENC women-owned business certification is sought by business, government and non-profit organizations who value supplier diversity.
‘Over the years, it’s been crystal clear to those who know us that we’re women-owned,’ said Heidi Strand, Founder/Consultant, Blue Door Consulting. ‘But, we’re now competing at a new level. For those who don’t know us, the WBENC-certification makes clear that we meet supplier diversity requirements that are important to so many different organizations.’
To certify Blue Door Consulting as an official WBENC women-owned business, Women’s Business Development Center – Chicago Certification Committee of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council conducted an in-depth review of the business’ legal, financial and operational documents. Following that review, an examiner completed a personal, on-site inspection of Blue Door Consulting’s office and interview with the company’s owners. The rigorous national review process verifies the business is at least 51% woman-owned, operated and controlled.
‘The meticulous review process was both time- and labor-intensive. It’s clear the WBENC did their homework,’ said Brenda Haines, Founder/Consultant, Blue Door Consulting. ‘That’s the reason so many companies turn to WBENC to be sure suppliers meet the demands of their diversity programs.’
