Marketing agency jobs at Blue Door Consulting, where it’s surf’s up

When we describe what it’s like to work at our Oshkosh, Wisconsin, marketing consulting firm, we often say it’s like riding the wave. During every project, we grab our figurative surfboard and go with the flow. Some days the waves are clean, giving us a smooth ride. And when the size of the wave tests us, we adapt with positivity, humility and determination. If you’re ready to hop on board and are looking for consulting or marketing agency job opportunities in Oshkosh, Wisconsin (or for a remote agency marketing job), we encourage you to learn more about us. And of course, consider applying!

Here, everyone puts on their consulting hat

At Blue Door Consulting, we’re not just a team of doers. We think. We analyze. We solve problems. We prevent problems. We give recommendations. Whether you’re an intern, graphic designer, marketer or programmer, you’ll be expected to provide ideas, advice and insights to help our clients grow. (When they grow, we grow, too!)

During the interview process, prospective team members take the Clifton StrengthsFinder® assessment to uncover their own unique strengths. By understanding where each team member excels, we can tap into one another’s strengths for team and client projects. That’s a win for our clients, our company and our staff!

Come on in: Welcome to our workspace

Our open-concept, two-story workspace is located in a renovated urban grain mill. Picture yourself (company-provided laptop in tow) sitting at one of our conference room tables, planting your feet at a standing desk or lounging in one of our cozy seating areas by the fire. When you hit the mid-day slump, refresh with a healthy snack and beverage from our fully stocked kitchen. Need some fresh air? Enjoy a scenic walk on the Oshkosh Riverwalk trail—just steps from our office. Or take a spin on one of our company bikes for a refreshing ride around the block.

Work/Life Integration with Flexibility

We understand that everyone has busy schedules and important responsibilities outside of work. That’s life. And that’s why we offer flexibility in your work schedule. We call it work/life integration. Work from home, on a work-ation or come into the office—it’s up to you. Set a schedule that works for you (and your clients) whether you’re an early bird, night owl or something in between.

In addition to flexible hours, we offer the following benefits:

  • Remote work options
  • Part-time or full-time employment
  • Competitive compensation
  • Health insurance
  • Simple IRA with company match
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid professional development
  • Paid volunteer time
  • Short-term disability
  • Employee Assistance Program

Working requirements:
Remote, in-person or hybrid

Our team is made up of those who work in-person, remote or a combination of the two. If you’re fully remote, don’t worry—you still get in on all the good stuff. We come together as a team for daily traffic meetings. We value good communication and vow never to leave a team member or client hanging. We utilize instant messaging and project management tools to facilitate communications both internally and externally.

What happens when I apply?

If a career at Blue Door Consulting sounds like it’s for you, we’d love to hear from you. After you submit your resume, there will be a phone screen. If all goes well, we will give you a call for an interview. Much like speed dating, this time is used to determine if we could be a good fit for each other. If so, you can expect a mini-assessment, followed by a homework assignment.

If your homework assignment meets our expectations, you’ll have the opportunity to present it to our team. It sounds intimidating, but our team is a supportive audience, so don’t worry. After your presentation, you’ll be encouraged to ask a lot of questions—make sure to bring them! We’ll give you straight-up honest answers to literally everything. After all, brutal honesty is one of our core values.
