Heidi Strand Portrait

Strategic, Communication, Ideation, Activator, Adaptability

I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1995 with a self-designed B.S. degree in Business Management and Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Most people find that hard to say and much less interesting to read.

My first job out of college was with Target Headquarters – in the men’s underwear department. It was that humbling experience that led me to work for Kinko’s as a recruiter for several years. Anxious to move up the proverbial career ladder, but not sure about my next step, I quit the recruiting job and convinced my husband to also put in his two-week’s notice. We cleared our heads by traveling for a month throughout Europe and Hawaii. After which, a family seemed in order, so we moved back to my hometown here in Oshkosh, Wis., to be near the rest of my crazy relations.

It wasn’t long after I began as the Marketing Director for the Opera House Foundation that I realized life would never be the same; I was going to be a mom. Today, my life is filled with year-round bleacher sitting, musical rehearsal chaperoning and teenage driving-in addition to working side-by-side with my business partner and an amazing team of talented people.
