Madelyn Westra

After graduating from Ripon College with a double major in Communication and Sports Management, I found myself in the nonprofit world, working for a chamber of commerce as the event and tourism coordinator. I quickly fell in love with community engagement, communication and all things marketing. As the Supervisor of Communications for a school district in northwest Wisconsin, I created and implemented a strategic plan (hosting many family and stakeholder events), created a communications plan that helped lead to the successful passing of a referendum, oversaw a full website redesign, newsletter creation (digital and physical) and also assisted the Community Education Department. While working at the school district, I also completed my master’s degree in marketing. 

With family located in Central Wisconsin, my husband and I decided to move to the Ripon area, which is when I found out about Blue Door Consulting. I quickly fell in love with Blue Door Consulting’s values and close community ties. I’m excited to continue learning, building connections with others and becoming more involved in the community! 

When not at work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and dog. We do lots of adventuring at State Parks and enjoying the sunshine whenever we can. I also enjoy reading and spending time with family.
