Megan Leiser Portrait

Achiever, Futuristic, Leaner, Input, Restorative

I joined the Blue Door Consulting team following nearly five years in the healthcare industry, tackling numerous roles both clinically and administratively. From a patients’ perspective, you never feel that you get enough time with your doctor, and that’s where I stepped in. No matter what role I was playing, the most rewarding part of my healthcare career was always helping the patients understand what was going on: What surgery is best for me? What will my costs look like? What happens next?

I have a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and psychology, and a Master of Science degree in Applied Health Behavior Research. Understanding what drives the human behavior, and ultimately determining how to influence positive changes to behavior, is what keeps me curious and always asking “Why?” Gaining an understanding is only one piece of the puzzle though. It’s what you do with that knowledge that holds the most power. For me, I am always looking for ways to help people and improve experiences. I enjoy applying my inquisitive nature to help people in my work at Blue Door Consulting and through my membership with the Rotary Club of Appleton.

When not at work, you can typically find me at home with my husband and three cats. I grew up a dog lover, but my husband convinced me a cat would be easier to care for when we first moved in together and now it’s me trying to convince him we need to adopt more! We enjoy home improvement projects, riding our Harley® and looking for the next series to binge on Netflix®. We are Chicago natives. So the Wisconsin cold doesn’t scare us, but we are learning to enjoy the beautiful outdoors our state has to offer by camping and spending time on the water.
