More About Sarah
I went through a Chevy Chase phase when I was seven. In Funny Farm, Chase’s character “Andy” falls off the deep end while his wife pens a children’s book. The movie got me obsessed with storytelling and imparted a great lesson in working through ideas—you have to do the work.
Since then, I’ve entered writing competitions, received a Bachelor of Arts in journalism at UW-Oshkosh and gone from a Gannett Wisconsin Newspapers reporter to a storied career in creative marketing. After ten years developing corporate brands, content and communications strategies across entertainment, energy and financial services industries, I joined the Blue Door Consulting team to put my creative storytelling to work for clients. In my free time, I write young adult science fantasy books. My husband, son and I also explore live music and parks and exercise our two energetic dogs.
