From the music that’s soundtracked my life to the books, movies and TV shows I’ve spent countless hours with, I learned from a young age the power of storytelling.

While studying at Northern Michigan University near my hometown in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan—yes, I’m a native Yooper—I discovered the exciting possibilities of journalism and soon after spent nearly a decade sharing the stories of fascinating people, businesses and other organizations as a reporter with The Post-Crescent in Appleton, Wisconsin.

I later moved into the marketing world as a communications specialist for the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, helping spread the word about the endless possibilities in higher education. Like my time in the news media, every day I was energized by learning about new people and seeing new perspectives.

Now at Blue Door Consulting, I take all that I’ve learned—and that still-burning passion for storytelling—to help our team find creative ways for clients to connect with a variety of audiences and drive action.
