Media Agency Builds from the Ground Up
Blue Door Consulting’s public relations consultants developed an integrated campaign to draw attention to the community foundation’s partnership—by tapping into how it filled a critical gap in the current path from homelessness to financial independence. The blueprint included education about gaps in the housing continuum and the options available to help those experiencing homelessness advance their futures.
Celebrating the Big Move
The Oshkosh Area Community Foundation needed to communicate its new partnership with COTS and Father Carr’s Place 2B internally and externally. Blue Door Consulting, as its public relations company, moved quickly to raise awareness at both levels. Our media consultants created and distributed a compelling news release, using critical data, facts and quotes to attract media attention. An email to donors, website landing page and video helped support the media campaign, educating educate donors and community members about the project.
An Open House for Media Coverage
To achieve optimal awareness, the Community Foundation’s PR campaign needed to go a step further – with a media event to generate interest and enthusiasm for the partnership. Blue Door Consulting media consultants provided on-site assistance to reporters covering the event, connecting them with community contacts and information while simultaneously livestreaming the event to air on the Community Foundation’s social media channels.
