I’m a true believer in the power of storytelling. The ability of stories to transport us to different times and places and to connect us regardless of age or background truly excites me. I also love how a good story can engage and inspire people to action. It’s probably not surprising that I was editor of my high school newspaper, pursued a degree in English Literature from Knox College and received a certificate in publishing from the University of Denver Publishing Institute. Ultimately, my love of storytelling launched a career leading higher education marketing and communication teams and to the amazing team at Blue Door Consulting.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked on magazines, public relations and brand management, as well as websites, digital advertising and everything in between. My favorite part of this work? The constant evolution of new media and tools, especially digital, that can help us become better storytellers. I’m passionate about using these tools to help our clients reach their strategic and business goals. In my free time, I can be found cooking, traveling and laughing with my family—husband Brian, daughters Clara and Willa, and cats Junebug and Simon—and friends, as well as reading a good book (or two or three) from time to time.
Seize the day. share the love.
